The strange man is finally at the door
Letting himself in
You watch him walk in
He reeks of unknown things
Fear creeps
Hairs stand
Every bone tingles as you look
As you watch the strange man
Make himself at home
You can no longer see the absurdity
The weird colour of his clothes
The scent that almost unpeeled your nose from your face
You can no longer see the strange man’s clothes
You can no longer see the strange man
His steps cannot be traced
You run
Up
Down
Past
Until you see the strange man
Until you see the weird colour of his clothes
Until the scent pierces your nostrils
You walk back
Look at the strange man
The strange man that came in
And see the strange man looking at you
Looking at the weird colour of your clothes
Disgusted by the scent that you reek
And wondering why
Why you’re staring at the mirror
Staring with such anger
As if you cannot see
That you are now the strange man
With the weird colour of your clothes.
