The sun shines

I woke up today and 

The sky is blue again

Blots of bright clouds litter the space 

I can feel the cool air glide in and out of my lungs

I woke up today and

The sun is shining

Not through a grey sky but clear

unobstructed 

Touching everything 

Popping colors off the flowers and its rays off the cool water

Birds glide through the air singing

Vibrantly 

Perhaps a few cares in the world but not this morning 

It’s a new day and the maybe gods are smiling down;

It’s a wonderful day and the sun shines today.
